On Friday and Saturday, during the conference in Milowka, I had the opportunity to have a closer look at our Student Council. In many ways, quite enlightening experience. Great organization (bravo ladies) and the balance of time for training, a trip to power plant in Porabka-Zar, and entertainment. Sadly in the course of the latter my belief in myself as a rally driver has been so painfully verified.

Today I had the pleasure of participating in two exciting events. Early afternoon in Helios cinema I have attended a preview of the documentary on the participation of our students team in the competition of solar vehicles in Australia. The 6th place is a big success as for the newcomers. Later this evening we have opened the 41st edition of the tourist songs competition YAPA.

Yesterday, during annual meeting of TUL alumnia working in Polmos Żyrardów, as scientific advisor I had particular reason for satisfaction; as of beginning of March a system for isotopic authentication of the origin of raw material delivered to Polmos became operational. Its implementation is based on studies of isotopic fractionation that has been carried for years in my laboratory. The measurements of the isotopic composition of carbon protect products from fraud. We are now working together on extending the scope of protection by using isotopes of other elements (pictured with Vice-dean Anna Diowksz and Board Member Wiesław Piłat). James Bond can sleeep peacefully – we take care of the quality of Belveder.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure to hand over prizes and certificates to the winners of the Informatics Test. This year most prizes went to students of FTIMS Faculty. The increasing collaboration with University of Lodz in organizing this event is worth noticing. My sincere congratulations to the winners and the organizers!
